ആശങ്കരാകുന്നവർ

      Shouldn't we be happy if we see a man doing well? And to be concerned about it or awe of him, is not a good trait, only the jealous and spiteful can do it. If one gets a good house, buys a good car, gets a good job, gets good marks, gets a good marriage, gets a baby... It is a fact that, there will be some around them who cannot rejoice in those good things.

It can be tolerated to some extent that some of the natives become concerned about it, but it is often not understood why even those who pretend love and sincerity, even some blood relations, are concerned about it.

In short, some people want some to never get better. Their wish is that they should always lie down, be in debt, be sick, be jobless, etc. It is surprising to see that even those who wear the name of Christian and those who are proud to be God's children hide this nature and sometimes it comes out in disguise.

    That is what happened in the passage mentioned above. When Saul realized that his throne was going to slide, that God had anointed David to sit on it, and that all the people were in favor of David, Saul's hatred for David increased day by day. That grudge drove Saul like a madman. He often tried to harm David but failed.

     Then there was a plan that arose within Saul, as we read in 1 Samuel 18:17. "For Saul said, Let not my hand be upon him, but let the hand of the Philistines be upon him”. A plan arose in Saul's wicked mind to make his enemies do what he had not done a couple of times. One of the main reasons for this was that no one would suspect Saul killing David. Thus it is read that Saul did not hesitate to bind his own daughters to David so that he would perish at the hands of the Philistines. Saul's thought was that David should perish no matter if his daughter was a scapegoat. But when we read the verses below, we see that everything that happened later was the opposite of Saul's plan. Things turned out to be in David's favor. David became more powerful, David's popularity increased. Even his own daughter loved David.

1 Samuel 18:29, 30 “And Saul was yet the more afraid of David;.... David behaved himself more wisely than all the servants of Saul; so that his name was much set by.”

     Dear Readers, this as a clear counsel from God, there may be some around you, waiting to see tears in your eyes, to see our fall. For that, they may be making many unexpected efforts against us. It doesn't matter, don't be afraid, Have faith in the Lord, Pray and trust in God. The Mighty One / the God of David is with us to turn all their plans in our favor.

Holy God, we bless and praise your name. Thank you for this advice that you have shared with us today. We do not know who our enemies are, but nothing is hidden from You who knows everything! O God, who saw that the hand of the Philistines did not fall on David, stop all the fire of the enemy that might be harmful and protect us too, change everything for cheer and good; We ask in the name of Jesus Christ, your beloved Son and our Savior.
