Dear Children,
Let me remind you about a young chap, whose story is recorded in the Bible in Exodus 31:1... His name was Bezalel. The meaning of his name is “in the shadow of God.” Almighty God called this young man and entrusted him with a great responsibility. Bezalel was assigned the task of constructing the Ark of the Covenant and all the other furnishings of the Tabernacle.
God knew that Bezalel could not accomplish this work with his own limited understanding and ability. Therefore, the Lord “filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, understanding, knowledge, and all kinds of skills” (Exodus 31:3-5; 35:33). And with the ability (wisdom, understanding, and knowledge) that the Lord gave him, Bezalel successfully completed the mission entrusted to him. The Bible records it this way: “Bezalel son of Uri, grandson of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, made everything just as the LORD had commanded Moses” (Exodus 38:22).
The Lord who showed mercy to Bezalel, who had no special ability or qualification of his own, and transformed him into a skilled person by giving him wisdom, understanding, and knowledge to fulfill a great responsibility, is still searching for Bezalels today. Bezalel is not just one individual; as the meaning of his name suggests, all children who submit their lives to God are Bezalels. In other words, all children who live “in the shadow of God” and Pray to the Lord will receive wisdom, understanding, knowledge, and every kind of ability from the compassionate Lord, and He will grant them grace to pass their exams with good marks.
Let me conclude by reminding you of another truth recorded in the Bible about Bezalel. Many years after Bezalel made these items for the Tabernacle, King Solomon, the son of David, offered a thousand burnt offerings on the bronze altar that Bezalel had made, as recorded in 2 Chronicles 1:5. And it was that very night (“That night…” 2 Chronicles 1:7) that God appeared to Solomon and asked him what he desired. Solomon asked God to give him wisdom and knowledge, and God granted it, making Solomon the wisest and most knowledgeable man in the world.
In short, Bezalel was the root cause behind the world receiving the great wise man Solomon. Heaven wanted the world to know this truth; that is why, even after many years, when King Solomon came to the Tabernacle and offered a thousand burnt offerings, the Holy Spirit specifically recorded in Scripture that the offerings were made on the bronze altar made by Bezalel (2 Chronicles 1:5,6).
I write this in the Spirit of God: Dear children, who are writing your exams, resting in the shadow of God, placing your trust in the Lord; may the Lord bless you with wisdom, understanding, and knowledge. And the results you are going to receive will always be something you can remember with pride. Amen.
Blessing the children in the name of the Lord,
